December 2006
Completed my Fall 2006 Department of Instructional Technology Fellowship project: Distance Learning Orientation. These materials are available to anyone and provide an introduction to online learning, Blackboard (version 6), and basic computer skills.
August 2006
The 3rd edition of my textbook, Web Development and Design Foundations with XHTML, has been published.
Addison-Wesley's The Loop featured my article, Developing Designers for Today's Web.
June 2006
Invited to be a Course Reviewer Consultant for the Illinois Online Network at the Univerisity of Illinois as part of the Quality Online Course Intiative (QOCI) Project.
March 2006
Won the 2006 Blackboard Greenhouse Exemplary Course Award (Online Course Category) for my CIS218/WEB240 E-Commerce Development online course.
This is a national competition in which courses were judged by a rigorous rubric including components such as online pedagogy and use of technology.
